Salary £70,000+ per annum, plus bonus
Signoi Ltd, Brighton, United Kingdom
Signoi has an immediate vacancy for a Research Director.
Signoi is a well-funded start-up which has developed unique IP in deriving and measuring meaning from unstructured data. To do this we use advanced automated analytics, AI, and machine learning algorithms.
But AI and automation is only as good as the human scientists behind it.
- The Research Director will be responsible for building a team (internally/outsourced/freelance) to deliver managed service projects for a range of clients. These outputs require a high degree of human interpretation and will need to deliver clear and actionable insight and foresight for clients (agencies and Blue Chips).
- These projects involve specifying data sources and analyses (working with our analytics team) and developing outputs for clients. These outputs may need support through a formal presentation.
- The Research Director will need to be able to respond to client briefs as required, and develop proposals to meet these briefs, leveraging the Signoi platform. The goal is to educate the market and assist the adoption of the SaaS platform down the line.
- This not a sales role, but the right person will be front of house with clients and will be responsible for building relationships and for quality of deliverables.
The ideal candidate must have significant experience in deploying cultural analysis techniques such as semiotics, psychology, ethnography and so on, and – working in partnership with our data analytics team – be comfortable dealing with complex quantitative metrics, many of which are entirely unique to Signoi.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic company at an early stage with a unique market position poised for rapid expansion in the UK and internationally.
Signoi is – and will continue to build – an equal, diverse team. We are also acutely aware of the ethical dimensions of our work; from the data we source, to the platform we build, to the analysis we deliver.
We are offering an outstanding compensation package which includes flexible working hours, private medical insurance, pension plan, casual work environment (we’re very dog friendly), early Friday finish for team stuff, and ad hoc boat drinks*.
Please send us your CV (Word or PDF) and a brief note on why you feel this role could be for you.
Email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Note – if this is not for you but you know someone who would be a good fit, we will pay a £500 referral fee for a successful introduction.
Please: NO AGENCIES
